On the morning of December 24, the People's Committee of Doan Hung District held a Marriage Registration Ceremony and presented a Marriage Certificate to Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Linh (born in 1988), residing in Nam Dau Hamlet, Van Du Commune, Doan Hung District, and Mr. Ho Trong Hieu (born in 1975), a German citizen. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Anh Hung, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; leaders and staff of the Justice Department; and representatives of several departments and units under the People's Committee.

Ceremony Overview

After the Justice Department received the marriage registration application from Mr. Ho Trong Hieu and Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Linh, the department reviewed the application and advised the District People's Committee to complete the marriage registration procedures involving a foreign element, ensuring compliance with the law.

Ms. Tran Thi Kim Nguyet, Head of the District Justice Department, provided information on the regulations of Vietnam's Marriage and Family Law.

During the ceremony, the Justice Department leaders explained the rights and responsibilities of both spouses in the marital relationship under the Civil Status Law and the Marriage and Family Law of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. They also conducted verification questions to confirm the voluntary nature of the marriage. In the presence of local authorities and family members, Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Linh and Mr. Ho Trong Hieu completed the procedures by signing the Marriage Certificate and the Marriage Registration Book in accordance with Vietnamese law.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Hung, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, delivered congratulatory remarks at the ceremony.

On behalf of the district leaders, Mr. Nguyen Anh Hung presented the Marriage Certificate, offered flowers, and congratulated the couple on their union. He expressed his hope that they would always cherish each other and build a happy family together. He also encouraged them to act as cultural ambassadors, fostering solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Germany.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Hung presented the Marriage Certificate to the couple.

The presentation of marriage certificates involving foreign elements is a meaningful activity in Doan Hung District's implementation of the "Friendly Government Serving the People" model. The District People's Committee consistently prioritizes and directs the Justice Department and relevant units to assist couples in completing marriage registration procedures in compliance with the law. This practice establishes a legal foundation to protect the rights and interests of spouses and children in family relations under Vietnamese law.
